Following in the footsteps of the MBC’s epic drama “The King’s Doctor,” the channel's latest series “The Gu Family Book” landed at the top of the chart by drawing in an average viewership of 11.95 percent during the week of April 8 and 9, TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistic] showed on Wednesday.

The period-set fantasy drama “The Gu Family Book” stars two top singer/actor, Lee Seung-gi and Suzy of Miss A. This drama contains elements of fusion martial arts action. The story centers on a half human and half monster in search of a book that holds information on becoming fully human.

Next up on the chart is “The Queen of Office.” It focuses on a character called Miss Lee, a perfectionist in the office. The comedy drama scored an average of 11.4 percent viewership during April 8 and 9.

As the love story in the drama started to develop, “The Queen of Office” grabbed more viewers compared to last week.

Following the end of SBS’s top-of-the-chart drama ‘Queen of Ambition,” Kim Tae-hee and Yu Ah-in are back with the new fusion costume drama “Jang Ok-jun, Live for Love” on April 8. The drama grabbed an average viewership of 10.2 percent.

“Jang Ok-jung, Live for Love” is a reinterpretation of the story about Jang Ok-jung also known as Jang Hee-bin in the Josean Dynasty. Jang Ok-jung was a royal concubine notorious for her ruthless ways of attaining power.

Meanwhile, Nielson Korea showed the programs in a slightly different order from the TNmS figures during April 8 and 9.

Here, “The Queen of Office” is No. 1 of the chart with an average viewership of 12.2 percent. “The Gu Family Book” and “Jang Ok-jung, Live for Love” followed next in the chart with an average of 11.7 percent and 10.2 percent viewership, respectively.
