Black Rose

The magic of black flowers has attracted our attention throughout the ages. The very colour inspires a powerful feeling of mystical expectation, the very essence of a black rose appears to originate from a unattainable, improbable and unnatural world.

Of course a pure black rose does not exist, however there are some very dark red roses out there with names like "Black Baccara", "Barkarole", "Black Beauty" and "Black Magic".

The Black Baccara is indeed a magical rose - with its deepest red colour and a black velvet tinge to the petals it really has to be seen to be fully appreciated (and believed, this rose really is black!).

Black Baccara's are in our opinion the darkest red rose available and has a mystical and powerful effect on anyone who receives them.



กุหลาบสายพันธุ์แบล็คโรส หรือ “กุหลาบดำ”

กุหลาบสายพันธุ์แบล็กโรส หรือ “กุหลาบดำ” ที่โครงการหลวงใช้เวลาในการขยายพันธุ์กว่า 10 ปีจึงสำเร็จ มีความโดดเด่นเรื่องสี
สายพันธุ์แบล็กโรส หรือกุหลาบดำ ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มกุหลาบสีดำ มี 4 ชนิด คือ แบล็กบัคคาร่า ขนาดดอก 2-3 นิ้ว แบล็กเมจิก ขนาดดอก 4-6 นิ้ว แบล็กบิวตี้ ขนาดดอก 4-6 นิ้ว บัคคาโร ขนาดดอก 3-4 นิ้ว ปัจจุบันมีปลูกอยู่ที่สถานีเกษตรหลวงอ่างขาง และโครงการหลวงทุ่งเริง ซึ่งมีสภาพภูมิอากาศหนาวเย็นตลอดทั้งปี เหมาะสมกับการปลูกกุหลาบพันธุ์นี้ รวมทั้งผ่านการพัฒนาสายพันธุ์มาประมาณ 15 ปี จึงได้สายพันธุ์อย่างที่ต้องการเหมาะสมกับสภาพอากาศภาคเหนือ อย่างไรก็ตาม กุหลาบสายพันธุ์นี้เป็นกุหลาบสีแปลก และมีความพิเศษไม่เหมือนดอกกุหลาบชนิดอื่น ทว่าไม่เป็นที่นิยมเหมือนกุหลาบสายพันธุ์อื่นๆ ที่มีสีสันสวยงามในท้องตลาดทั่วไป

สำหรับความเป็นมาของดอกกุหลาบ “สีดำ” ที่นำมาขยายพันธุ์ที่โครงการหลวงขณะนี้ นำเข้ามาจากประเทศเยอรมัน โดยคุณสืบศักดิ์ นวจินดา ผอ.ศูนย์พัฒนาโครงการหลวงทุ่งเริง อ.หางดง จ.เชียงใหม่ เมื่อประมาณ 20 ปีที่แล้ว ซึ่งได้เดินทางไปดูงานที่ประเทศเยอรมนี แล้วพบว่ามีกุหลาบสายพันธุ์แบล็กโรส หรือกุหลาบดำ มีสีสันสะดุดตา ตามปกติแล้ว กุหลาบส่วนใหญ่จะมีสีแดงเป็นหลัก แต่กุหลาบพันธุ์ดังกล่าว มีลักษณะสีแดงเข้มมากเหมือนสีเลือดหมู จนเกือบดำเหมือนกำมะหยี่ ดอกเมื่อบานเต็มที่มีขนาดใหญ่ จึงนำกุหลาบพันธุ์ดังกล่าวมาปลูกครั้งแรกที่สถานีเกษตรหลวงอ่างขาง อ.ฝาง จ.เชียงใหม่ ระยะแรกประสบปัญหากุหลาบมีกิ่งใหญ่ แต่ดอกเล็ก เนื่องจากขาดการบำรุงที่ต้องใช้ปุ๋ยสูตรเฉพาะ ที่มีไนโตรเจน ฟอสฟอรัส โปรแตสเซียม ผสมผสานกัน ต้องใช้เวลาหลายปีจึงสามารถพัฒนาสายพันธุ์ให้เข้ากับภูมิอากาศบ้านเรา จนให้ผลผลิตมีดอกใหญ่เหมือนดินแดนต้นกำเนิดคือประเทศเยอรมนีไม่ผิดเพี้ยน

***ดอกกุหลาบสีดำนำเข้ามาจำหน่ายเมื่อ 3 ปีที่แล้ว เป็นครั้งแรกโดยมิสลิลลี่ ซึ่งมาจากประเทศฮอลแลนด์ โดยนำเข้ามาประมาณ 300 ดอก จำหน่ายดอกละ 600 บาท***



Blue Rose

Blue Roses are the most magical of roses, they have an impossible beauty about them, they can mean anything you want them to mean and more.

To prove it hear are a few things that have been written about Blue Roses :-

Blue roses will blossom in the snow,

Blue roses will grow up to the sky,
before I ever make you cry

Blue rose given to a woman,

Blue Roses just do not exist, commercially speaking that is, however the first blue rose is on it's way as it has been grown by a bunch of mad Australian and Japanese Scientists. The lucky blighters have discovered the holy grail of the rose world!

So, until they are available to order (another 3-7 years we estimate) you will just have to make do with our specially selected white roses that are cut immaturely from the plant and cultivated in blue dye solution so that the blue can grow into the petals as well as the leaves and stems.

They produce a very deep and strikingly crisp blue rose that will blow your recipient away with it's impossible beauty.


กุหลาบสีน้ำเงิน

เรายังไม่เคยเห็นบลูโรส หรือดอกกุหลาบสีน้ำเงินแท้ๆ กันเลย ที่เป็นเช่นนี้ก็เพราะธรรมชาติของต้นกุหลาบนั้นไม่อาจสร้างเม็ดสีน้ำเงินได้ นั่นเอง

แต่จากเทคโนโลยีด้านยีนที่พัฒนาขึ้นในโลกยุคปัจจุบัน ทำให้เป้าหมายของนักปรับปรุงพันธุ์กุหลาบที่จะสร้างดอกกุหลาบสีน้ำเงินได้มา ถึงแล้ว และไม่ใช่แต่จะอยู่แต่เพียงในห้องปฏิบัติการเท่านั้น บัดนี้กุหลาบดอกสีน้ำเงินได้รับการสร้างเสริมคุณสมบัติให้มีอายุการบานดอก ที่นานขึ้น แถมมีกลิ่นหอม และทนฟรอส หรือน้ำค้างแข็งได้อีกระดับหนึ่ง จีเอมโรส (กุหลาบจีเอม หรือกุหลาบที่ผ่านการเปลี่ยนแปลงยีนแล้วจะเรียกมันว่าอะไรก็ตาม อาจหาชื่อได้ทั่วไปในกลุ่มประเทศอียูปัจจุบัน)

บริษัท ฟลอริยีน (Florigene) เป็นบริษัทที่เป็นผู้สร้างและผู้นำการตลาด เรื่องบูลโรส บริษัทนี้มีกลุ่ม ซันตอรี (Suntory) ของญี่ปุ่นเป็นผู้ถือหุ้นรายใหญ่ หรือพูดง่ายก็เป็นเจ้าของนั่นแหละ บริษัทนี้มองการณ์ไกลไปถึงผลกำไรมหาศาลที่จะได้รับจากผลการสร้างสรรค์สิ่ง ใหม่แก่ชาวโลก ซึ่งมีศักยภาพการตลาดที่สูง ถึงแม้เศรษฐกิจตกต่ำกำลังก่อตัวละมีผลกระทบไปทั่วโลก แต่เราต้องไม่ลืมว่าธุรกิจไม้ตัดดอกนั้นมีเม็ดเงินหมุนเวียนสูงถึง 4 หมื่นล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ และดอกกุหลาบนั้นมีส่วนแบ่งในด้านการตลาดถึง 1 หมื่นล้านเหรียญสหรัฐเลยทีเดียว

ผู้ปลูกกุหลาบทุกคนพยายามไขว่คว้า หากุหลาบสายพันธุ์ที่ให้ดอกสีน้ำเงินมาเป็นเวลาหลายร้อยปีแล้ว แต่บริษัทฟลอริยีนนับเป็นบริษัทแรกที่สามารถสร้างกุหลาบพันธุ์นี้ออกมาได้ใน ที่สุด แต่หลายคนก็ยังขอดค่อนว่า “นี่ก็ยังไม่ใช่บลูแท้ ดูมันจะออกไปทางม่วงเสียซะมาก” แต่ผู้บริหารซันตอรี ก็เชื่อว่ามันใกล้เป้าหมายที่สุดแล้ว

สีที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปในกลีบ กุหลาบนั้นเป็นผลมาจากการถ่ายยีนซึ่งพบในแอฟริกันไวโอเล็ต ซึ่งควบคุมการสร้างเม็ดสีน้ำเงิน ซึ่งเราเรียกว่าเดลฟินิดีน (Delphinidin) ดังนั้นนักวิทยาศาสตร์จึงหาทางทำให้ยีนของกุหลาบซึ่งปกติจะสร้างเม็ดสีแดง และส้มเปลี่ยนแปลงไป

สำหรับกุหลาบสีน้ำเงิน ซึ่งดอกไม้แห่งตำนาน มีความหมายโดยนัยถึงความลึกลับ และเชื่อกันว่าสามารถมอบความอ่อนเยาว์ให้แก่ผู้เป็นเจ้าของได้อีกด้วย
