Lee Min-ho has been deemed one of the top celebrities of China during the year 2011.
Lee, alongside Taiwanese singer-actor Nicky Wu, was named 'The Winner' of last year on major broadcaster Hunan TV's year-end wrap-up program which aired on December 27.
His popularity was evident in the online world as well with China's sina.com placing him within the top ten names of the year.
According to sina.com's annual data, Lee ranked fifth in terms of number of followers on his account for Chinese social network service Weibo.
Lee's popularity translated into his dramas as well, making SBS TV series "City Hunter" the fourth most-mentioned drama on social network services in China last year. Over 430 dramas are said to be made in the country every year.
"City Hunter," aired in Korea from May to July of last year, won Lee the prizes for best actor in drama specials, teenage star award and the popularity award.
Lee, 24, has been popular in Korea and throughout Asia since starring in KBS' hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009.
