A sexual assault case implicating popular actor Park Si-hoo took another turn yesterday as the outcome of a drug test of the alleged victim was negative, counter to her claim that Park drugged and then raped her.

The aspiring actress has insisted that she lost consciousness even though she only had a few shots of soju, which is far below her drinking capacity, and was then sexually assaulted by the 35-year-old actor.

The National Forensic Service reported yesterday that, following its forensic analysis of the victim’s blood and hair, no traces of drugs were found.

The latest finding by the forensic service body is expected to help the defense team for Park, who recently rose to fame in the drama “Alice in Cheongdam-dong.”

Park’s defense team earlier requested the sexual assault case be transferred from Seoul’s Seobu Police Precinct to the Gangnam precinct, citing a series of unsubstantiated details about the case being leaked to the media.

“From the beginning, the details of the investigation were reported to the media without any filtering or confirmation,” the law firm Purme, representing the actor, said in a statement released Monday.

Park failed to show up before the Seobu Police Precinct three times and requested the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency transfer the case to the Gangnam police.

The metropolitan agency turned down the request yesterday.

The Seobu investigators notified Park to come in for questioning on Friday and said they would consider filing an arrest warrant if the actor refuses to come in again.

The reputation-shattering scandal for the Hallyu star began when the 22-year-old victim, whose identity is being withheld by authorities, filed rape allegations against Park on Feb. 19.

The assault case since then has swirled into a battle of counter-arguments between the alleged victim and Park.

The alleged victim has insisted Park raped her while she lost consciousness. The actor claims they had consensual sex.

The allegation made by the victim’s friend in an interview with the local weekly Ilyo Seoul caused another headache for Park’s legal team.

The friend, whose identity has also been undisclosed, alleged that Park and his friend sexually assaulted her friend at the same time. Park’s defense team denied the charge.

Park’s legal team claimed the alleged victim demanded a huge sum of settlement money in return for dropping the case.

The alleged victim reportedly countered the claim, saying she would not have filed a police report if she solely sought settlement money.

Korean pop group JYJ is to do another good deed by donating their appearance fees given by a government-organized Hallyu expo to UNICEF.

Members of JYJ are actng as PR ambassadors for the Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo [KBEE2012], and Kim Jae-joong is to attend the donation ceremony at the Korean Committee for UNICEF in Seoul, Korea on March 5, the expo’s organizer Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency [KOTRA] said on February 26.

At the three-day cultural exhibit held in Osaka, Japan last November, the “Get Out” singers participated as the face of the biggest Hallyu expo outside Korea by joining a UNICEF’s campaign in Korea and the expo’s opening ceremony in Japan.

“I was glad to join the meaningful exchange between Korea and Japan through the KBEE, and I’d like to think about our neighbors in need,” said Kim, “through the donation, I wanted to send a sign of consolation for children who are suffering due to starvation and poverty around the world.”

Park Dong-eun, President of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said, “I was very surprised JYJ made the donation, giving up the total sum of their fees. I believe that their invaluable contribution will move many people to share more.”

The popular group earned another title as PR ambassadors for the upcoming 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, which will be invite some 13,000 participants from 45 countries to Korea’s port city Incheon from September 19 to October 4 next year.

JYJ will appear at the iconic Tokyo Dome for the first time in four years, CJeS Entertainment announced on Monday.

“It is a meaningful event for them for many reasons, and we will announce further information this week,” the agency said.

It’s a long-awaited comeback for the group after it was forced to suspend its activities in Japan in the midst of a legal battle over an exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.

The group only managed to sign with Japanese agency AVEX after an injunction was issued against SM. But it was later forced to stop yet again after disputes with AVEX.

In that matter, a Japanese court ruled last month that the Japanese agency could not claim exclusive management rights over the stars and should pay 7.8 billion won ($7.2 million) to JYJ’s Korean agency.

Since the group still enjoys much popularity among Japanese fans, it will likely have a successful comeback in the country.

Ang Lee became the talk of the town after he received four major awards at the prestigious 85th Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) for fantasy movie, Life of Pi yesterday (Singapore time). He won the Best Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and Best Vocal Score awards.

As the first Asian to clinch the Best Director award twice at the Oscars (Lee received his first award for Brokeback Mountain in 2005), the 58-year-old Taiwanese shared his heartfelt joy onstage after the results were announced.

Besides expressing his gratitude to Life of Pi's production crew, Lee also thanked his beloved wife and family, commenting, "I love you, my family in Taiwan. My wife, Jane Lin, we'll be married 30 years this summer. I love you. My boys, Han and Mason, thank you for your support."

Shin Ha Kyun confessed that action scenes are definitely hard.

The actor appeared at the press conference for the film Running Man on February 26 to talk about what happened while shooting the film.

Shin Ha Kyun plays the fugitive Cha Jong Woo in the film.

"It was so hard," he said about his action scenes. "Still, I felt a weird catharsis from them."
While shooting the film, he even suffered a fracture in his rib. The fracture did not come from any external injury; it yielded under the persistent strain being put on it during his training sessions and action scenes.

"I didn′t tell anyone about the fracture," Shin Ha Kyun said. "I thought it would be nothing, but it came to hurt badly so I went to the hospital and they told me it was a fracture."

He also talked about how he had suffered due to his acrophobia.

He said, "I didn′t know I would have to climb to high places. I thought a double would do it for me. It turned out I had to do it myself. I did have safety devices on me but it was still dangerous."

Director Jo Dong Oh said, "Shin Ha Kyun would have suffered a lot, but I was thankful he didn′t show it. I thought he was great in scenes in which he had to show pain, but it turned out later that he really was in pain at the time."

Running Man is about how a man becomes a suspect wanted by everyone in the nation after witnessing a murder in the middle of Seoul. It stars actors Lee Min Ho, Kim Sang Ho and Jo Eun Ji. It premieres in April.

The film is also the first Korean film to have drawn investments from 20th Century Fox, a famed movie studio in America.

The Taiwanese artiste refuted claims about the meet-up with his movie co-star in a Hong Kong hotel.

Dating rumours between Taiwanese star Show Luo and Chinese actress Chrissie Chau surfaced last month after the latter was spotted entering a hotel where the singer stayed at during his Hong Kong concert tour.

Responding to speculations yesterday, Show clarified that he was unaware that his Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons co-star was at the hotel.

He emphasised that they did not meet each other and that the model-actress did not necessarily meet him just because they were at the same venue as the hotel is a public place.

“Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill,” said Show.

Chrissie once mentioned that she gets along well with Show and that her ideal type of guy is “humourous and talented”, giving rise to talk that she was describing the Taiwanese singer.

Yesterday, Show returned the compliments and praised, “She’s beautiful. I like girls who look healthy. The image she [Chrissie] gives off is quite healthy.”

[News] Forensics report finds no traces of drugs in trainee ‘A’ for Park Si Hoo’s sexual assault case.

[News] Forensics report finds no traces of drugs in trainee ‘A’ for Park Si Hoo’s sexual assault case.
Cr. - allkpop

On the 25th, media outlet ‘Sunday Seoul‘ reported an exclusive interview with ‘B’, a person said to be the best friend to trainee ‘A’ and was present on the night of Park Si Hoo sexual assault scandal.

In the interview, ‘B’ reported that Park Si Hoo and his hoobae had not had a sip of any of the alcohol, and had only told ‘A’ to drink. ‘A’ reportedly drank only one bottle of soju, and ‘B’ asserted that there was no way ‘A’ could get drunk from one bottle, and that there must be drugs involved because ‘A’ had felt different than usual. ‘B’ also reported that ‘A’ had sent a text message to her parents saying that she’d go home soon, but had lost consciousness in the car.

Also, ‘B’ reported that Park Si Hoo already had a condom on when ‘A’ opened her eyes in the morning, and his hoobae touched her while she was naked. However, these statements seem to be a little different from the previous reports by ‘A’, who claimed she had already been sexually assaulted when she woke up. ‘B’ also mentioned in the interview that Park Si Hoo had worn a mask from when he was coming out from the apartment, so he had been planning the assault from the beginning.

However, Park Si Hoo’s side slammed the interview as being completely fabricated from ‘A’. His new law firm said, “As you already know, Park Si Hoo’s alcohol tolerance is very low. But on the day of the incident, Park Si Hoo drank about 10 shots of soju over the course of 3 hours. Therefore, the reports that he didn’t drink anything are false.” They also confirmed that Park Si Hoo always wears a mask coming in and out from the apartment so he wouldn’t be recognized, and that this fact could be checked through the daily footage of CCTV.

Not only so, but the new law firm added, “‘A’ said that she had lost consciousness for about 13 hours when she went into Park Si Hoo’s house and came back out during her investigation, but she seems to remember all the very minute details about Park Si Hoo that would be used against him that people wouldn’t normally remember, so her account is not very believable. Her articles use terms such as that she felt fuzzy, insinuating as if the National Forensic Service’s results had already come out that drugs had been used against her, so we very suspicious about her comments.

They added on, “‘A’ went home perfectly fine at around 2PM after the incident, and you can confirm this through CCTV footage. Not only so, but she texted Park Si Hoo’s hoobae multiple times afterwards.

However, although there has been no official decisions made, it seems that the favor could be tipped for Park Si Hoo now, as test results from the National Forensics Service showed that no traces of any drugs were found in ‘A’. Because ‘A’ had asserted that there was no way she could have gotten so drunk with just one bottle of soju, the investigators had taken samples of her hair, urine, and blood to be sent to the National Forensics Service to check for traces of any date-rape type drugs. All of her tests came out to be negative.

There is still a possibility that the drugs had been flushed out of her system by the time the tests were conducted. Forensic experts said, “If it had been less than 24 hours since the incident, the drugs will have most likely still remained in her system. However, after 24 hours, it is highly possible that the drugs would have dissociated in her system or have been flushed out.

Kevin Cheng (郑嘉颖), Yuan Hong (袁弘) and the cast of Hua Xu Yin < 华胥引> were on stage to greet fans in Ningbo, China. Xiangshan Movie Studios promoted its new drama at the annual Temple Fair. The weather was perfect and the thousands of fans who attended were warm and enthusiastic, making the meet-the-fans session a wonderful experience for the idols and their fans.

It was the last day of the Lunar New Year yesterday and Xiangshan Movie Studio arranged the cast of Hua Xu Yin to meet their fans at the Spring and Autumn City Palace. Kevin Cheng, Yuan Hong  and Jiang Xin (蒋欣) were present to share their filming anecdotes. Approximately 500 fans from the drama’s official Weibo fan page were chosen from a lucky draw to get up close and personal with their idols.

Cast Discuss Their Roles

Yuan Hong shared that he will play the role of Shen An in Hua Xu Yin, who on the surface, is just like Bu Bu Jing Xin’s <步步惊心> thirteenth prince: carefree, uninhibited and full of love. However, unlike thirteenth prince, Shen An’s love life is not a bed of roses, and not as light-hearted. Collaborating with Kevin for the second time, Yuan Hong mentioned that though he and Kevin played brothers in Bu Bu Jing Xin, they were not allies. In Hua Xu Yin, the men  grew up together and are the best of friends. When it was Yuan Hong’s turn to draw a lot for a fan to come up on stage, he drew lot number 13, much to the amazement of all present.

In the drama, Jiang Xin plays the lead role of the warrior princess, Song Ning who has a complicated love affair with Yuan Hong’s Shen An. In the midst of the interview, Jiang Xin scolded Shen An for being heartless. Yuan Hong, not missing a beat, belted out, “I am heartless, my China heart,” causing an uproar in the audience.

Despite the negative press that Kevin received after the character stills of the television serial were leaked, there were still fans who acknowledged that he looks refined as the male lead, Mu Yan.  When this was brought to Kevin’s attention, he remarked jokingly that in person, he is just as refined.

Despite filming long hours through the night and getting themselves hurt from the armor they have to wear, the 3 stars interacted with ease on stage. At one point, Kevin remarked that he feels he is the luckiest out of the 3, as he was not involved in filming the past few days. Throughout the session, the 3 artists gossiped, bantered and snacked all at the same time, creating an amicable atmosphere and providing the fans with a wonderful time.

Korean crime movie “New World” has become the new winner atop the weekend box office, while “Miracle in Cell No. 7” became the first Korean comic drama to reach the 10 million moviegoers milestone.

The noir action pic dominated the local box office after drawing in 860,754 cinemagoers on its opening weekend of February 22 to 24, Korean Box Office information System [KOBIS] showed Monday.

Starring big name stars Lee Jung-jae, Choi Min-sik and Hwang Jung-min, director Park Hoon-jung’s second film is being well-received by local film lovers thanks to the thrilling ensemble of the threesome and a story full of suspense.

Despite the emergence of the new box office hit, Korean comic drama “Miracle in Cell No. 7” had no trouble getting its 10 millionth moviegoer on February 23 and sat at No. 2 after pulling in 855,942 in admissions in the same time frame.

With a relatively small production budget of 5.8 billion Korean Won [approximately 5.3 million U.S. Dollars], the tale of a father and daughter in jail became the 8th Korean film to achieve the overwhelming record, becoming the first 10-million-admissions film for the mid-sized distribution firm NEW.

While “The Berlin File,” the Korean action flick by director Ryoo Seung-wan, slid down to No. 3 with 303,727 admissions, the new mystery thriller “An Ethics Lesson,” starring Lee Je-hoon, Cho Jin-woong and Moon So-ri, made its debut reaching the fourth spot after attracting 104,494 cinemagoers.

“Delhi Safari,” a 3D animated movie from India, rounded off the top five after posting 90,837 admissions last weekend.

Other movies which amused local moviegoers last weekend were Jeremy Renner’s new actioner “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters,” Korean romcom “How to Use Guys with Secret Tips,” U.S. action franchise “A Good Day to Die Hard,” director Kim Ji-woon’s foray to Hollywood “The Last Stand” and Danish animation “Marco Marco.”

Japanese actress Fujii speaks good enough Korean and she also starred in Korean TV series “The Lord of the Dramas" acting in Korean.

The popular TV show gave births to two other mixed couples before, namely Super Junior`s Kyuhyun and Chinese actress Lou Yi Xiao, T-ara`s Hyomin and Chinese boy band BoBo member Fu Xin Bo, in the Chinese version of "We Got Married" which aired in Korea February last year.

The new 15-episode series kicked off shooting under the cross-border cooperation between MBC and Sony Pictures Entertainment Networks Asia [SPENA] in Singapore from last July.

The reality show has been one of the hottest reality shows in Korea airing for nearly five years since it first hit the airwaves in March of 2008.

Many young idols shot to stardom after appearing in the marriage-experience program, such as Jo Kwon of 2AM and Ga-in of Brown Eyed Girls, Jung Yong-hwa of CNBLUE and Seohyun of Girls’ Generation.

On the other hand, boy group MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and actress Oh Yeon-seo stepped down from the show after Lee posted an unsatisfactory comment about his current schedules online in January, three weeks after Oh and actor Lee Jang-woo embroiled in a real-life love scandal.
