A (Jang Geun-Suk): I have been having that dilemma for few years. I am still young, and I want to try everything. I need to try clothes that doesn’t fit me so that I could find clothes that truly fit me. If I decide to become a master in one area then I could care less about all other areas. If I choose acting that I will speak with my movies and dramas.

A: After I reached legal age, I drove a nice car to a nice restaurant and ate there. I thought I would become an adult by doing so. I was wrong. My occupation is to portray human and understand them. These days I like to walk and I like to see people when I am walking. If I see someone walking in a unusual way, I try to copy it.

A: (after thinking) There is one that is in my head. After drama Hwang-Jin-Yi was over there was one movie called Gambler. After seeing it, I thought I should runaway and start my military service. Cho Seung-Woo’s character was so good. At that time, I wanted to act Cho Seung-Woo’s character in Gambler so much. However, I thought, “I really want to do it (act Cho Seung-Woo’s character), I think I can do it, but why can’t I?”. I needed time to mature.
JKS : (คิดอยู่ครู่หนึ่ง) มีอยู่คนหนึ่งในหัวของผมครับ หลังจากจบละครเรื่องฮวางจินยี มีหนังอยู่เรื่องหนึ่งชื่อว่า Gambler หลังจากได้ดูหนังเรื่องนั้น ผมคิดว่าอยากรีบไปรับใช้ชาติเลยครับ บทบาทของโชซึงวูดีมากๆ เลย ตอนนั้นผมอยากเล่นบทของโชซึงวูในเรื่อง Gambler นี้มาก ผมคิดว่า “ฉันอยากเล่นบทนี้จริงๆ ฉันคิดว่าฉันทำได้นะ ทำไมฉันจะทำไม่ได้ล่ะ” แต่ผมต้องการเวลาเพื่อให้โตเป็นผู้ใหญ่มากกว่านี้ซะก่อน

Easter is the central religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. According to Christian scripture, Jesus was resuurected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixtion. Some Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday. The chronology of his death and resurrection is variously interpreted to be between AD 26 and AD 36. Easter also refers to the season of the church year called Eastertide or the Easter Season.

Traditionally the Easter Season lasted for the forty days from Easter Day until Ascension Day but now officially lasts for the fifty days until Pentecost. The first week of the Easter Season is known as Easter Week or the Octave of Easter. Easter also marks the end of Lent, a season of fasting, prayer, and penance.

Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar. The First Council of Nicaea (325) established the date of Easter as the first Sunday after the full moon (the Paschal Full Moon) following the vemal equinox. Ecclesiastically, the equinox is reckoned to be on March 21 (regardless of the astronomically correct date), and the "Full Moon" is not necessarily the astronomically correct date. The date of Easter therefore varies between March 22 and April 25. Eastern Christianity bases its calculations on the Julian Calendar whose March 21 corresponds, during the twenty-first century, to April 3 in the Gregorian Calendar, in which calendar their celebration of Easter therefore varies between April 4 and May 8. For 2010, Easter will be on April 4th .

Easter is linked to the Jewish Passover by much of its symbolism, as well as by its position in the calendar. Relatively newer elements such as the Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunts have become part of the holiday's modern celebrations, and those aspects are often celebrated by many Christians and non-Christians alike. There are also some Christian denominations who do not celebrate Easter.

[News] Kang Ji-hwan cast in Page One

Woohoo!!! Kang Ji-hwan is coming back to television!

He has been cast in the upcoming SBS drama Page One, which is being directed by Full House and The World They Live In’s PD Pyo Min-soo, and has already cast Park Shi-yeon as its female lead. He plays a well-mannered novelist, who wrote a series of bestsellers at a young age and shot to early stardom. Park plays the head of a publishing company, with whom he has an interesting and odd relationship. A third character, yet-uncast, is a secretary with whom Kang’s character begins a bickering romance. Writing the drama is Song Jae-jung of Unstoppable High Kick.

Kang has been mired in contract disputes with his former management company in recent months, and therefore there was a lot of worry over whether he would be prevented from acting for an extended period of time. The issue is not yet resolved, so there’s some speculation over whether it will affect this role, but hopefully it won’t. You may recall that Lee Jun-ki also faced a similar threat of being kept from acting by his ex-management company, but they worked things out.

Page One will take over the Oh My Lady timeslot on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means it’ll air in the earlier (9pm) hour, continuing SBS’s decision to expand its prime-time programming on those two nights.

[아시아경제 고재완 기자]배우 강지환이 '오! 마이 레이디' 후속으로 오는 6월 초 방송 예정인 SBS 새 월화드라마 '페이지원'의 주연으로 발탁될 것으로 보인다.

강지환은 '페이지원'에서 소설가 이진수 역을 맡을 예정이다. 이진수는 젊은 나이에 베스트셀러를 연속으로 터뜨리면서 일찌감치 스타덤에 오른 매너좋은 소설가 캐릭터로 출판사 대표 서은영(박시연 분)과 묘한 관계로 지내고 있다. 또 강승연(배영 미정)을 비서로 들이면서 티격태격 로맨스를 시작하는 인물이다.

서은영 역은 일찌감치 박시연으로 확정됐고 강승연 역은 현재 한창 캐스팅이 진행되고 있다.

'페이지원'은 '풀하우스' '그들이 사는 세상'의 표민수 PD가 연출을 맡고 '순풍산부인과' '거침없이 하이킥'의 송재정 작가가 집필을 맡아 카페 페이지원을 배경으로 좌충우돌 남녀들의 상큼발랄한 멜로를 그릴 예정이다.

한편 강지환은 아직 전 소속사와의 전속계약 문제가 해결되지 않은 상태라 이번 캐스팅이 어떤 파장을 몰고 올지 관심이 모아지고 있다.

Lee Mi-sook, who is currently acting in the KBS drama Cinderella’s Sister in the role of Cinderella’s stepmother, is featured in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, and she looks gorgeous. The photo shoot is in conjunction with fashion brand LABEIGE, and the concept portrays Lee as a glamorous femme fatale out of a classic film.

Lee’s current Cinderella’s Sister character is also described as something of a femme fatale, although I’d say she’s more of an opportunist. In any case, Lee Mi-sook is stunning for any age but it’s hard to believe she’s 50, isn’t it?

Two global and Asia’s representative stars Lee Byung Hun and Donnie Yen came together in China recently where they had good words for each other.

The two had attended the CMA (China Music Award) and Asian Influential Awards on March 28th in Sichuan, China where Lee Byung Hun picked up the Asia Greatest Performance Artist while Donnie Yen was awarded the Asia’s Most Influential – China award.

The two big-name stars had a 1-to-1 talk with each other after the ceremony.
Donnie Yen expressed, “I am very happy to be able to meet Lee Byung Hun. I told him that my impression of him was really good, having watched his movies like A Bittersweet Life, The Good, the Bad, the Weird, G.I. Joe. I have longed to meet him one day and I am very happy that I have fulfiled my wish today.”

Lee Byung Hun also expressed that he had see many of Donnie Yen’s movies during his free time and is a long-time fan of him. So it was great to be meeting him.
It would be great if they had discussed a possible movie collaboration!

New MBC TV series "Personal Taste" is already stirring Korea and Asia since its premiered last night, according to Korea's major broadcaster MBC on Thursday.

MBC said in a press release that the show is already receiving inquiries about overseas broadcasting copyrights and has been sold at "unprecedented prices" to several countries in Asia including Hong Kong and Thailand.

"Sales inquiries are pouring in from Japan and China, the biggest markets for the Hallyu," explained an official at Victory Production Company, who produces the drama. "It is expected to be sold at the highest price in the history of Korean dramas."

Meanwhile, many fans from Japan, China and other Asian countries are reportedly visiting the set to watch and support the show's lead actor Lee Min-ho. Some 50 Japanese fans showed up at the press conference for "Taste", held March 25 in Seoul.

Local fans are showing a lot of support for the show as well -- fan clubs of Lee and actress Son Ye-jin visited the set with food and clothes for the cast and crew.

"Taste", based on a novel of the same title by Korean writer Lee Se-in, is about a man pretending to be a homosexual in order to become roommates with a woman who wants to live with a gay male friend.

According to daily statistics released by research firm AGB Nielsen Media, the Wednesday/Thursday drama made a solid debut on the small screen last night with a viewership rating of 13.8 percent.

The second episode airs tonight on SBS.

ในบันทึกประวัติศาสตร์ของฮวารังนั้น ได้บันทึกไว้ว่าเธอเป็นบุคคลที่มีความสำคัญมากคนหนึ่งของเหล่านักรบฮวารัง พระสนมมิชิลเป็นบุตรสาวของ พุงวอลจูมิจินบูและท่านหญิงเมียวโด

สาเหตุที่พระสนมมิชิลเป็นหญิงที่ทรงอำนาจมากในสมัยนั้นเนื่องจาก พระองค์ได้สมรสกับ พุงวอลจูเซจง ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำฮวารังคนที่ 6 แห่งอาณาจักรชิลลา กอร์ปกับทรงได้รับการแต่งตั้งให้เป็นพระสนมในพระจ้าจินฮีงผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ในขณะนั้นด้วย นอกจากนี้เธอยังถือได้ว่าเป็นสตรีที่มีบทบาทสำคัญและทรงอิทธิพลต่อกษัตริย์ทั้ง 3 พระองค์แห่งอาณาจักรชิลลาด้วย นั้นคือ พระเจ้าจินฮึง, จินจี และจินเปียง (Jinheung of Silla, Jinji of Silla, Jinpyeong of Silla) ทั้งยังเป็นคนรักของเจ้าชายดงรัน พระโอรสองค์โตของพระเจ้าจินฮึงและ พุงวอลจู ซอลวอน ผู้นำฮวารังคนที่ 7 แห่งอาณาจักรชิลลา

Lady Mishil (미실, 美室, 540? ~ 600?)

Lady Mishil (미실, 美室, 540? ~ 600?) is a historical figure of Silla. But her existence is controversial because she is not mentioned in both Samguk Sagi and Samguk Yusa. However, she is a very important figure in the transcription of Hwarang Segi.

According to Hwarang Segi, she was a daughter of Mijinbu, 2nd Leader of Hwarang(Pungweolju). Also her father's mother was Princess Samyup, daughter of Beopheung of Silla. Her mother was Lady Myodo, sister of Sado, the queen consort of King Jinheung. With these relations, Mishil gained the qualification of a noble within the bone rank system.

She became powerful due to her relations with Kings and Poongweoljoos. She was the wife of Sejong, 6th Pungweolju, and was the major royal harem of 3 kings(Jinheung of Silla, Jinji of Silla, Jinpyeong of Silla). Also, she was in love with Prince Dongryun, eldest son of Jinheung, and Seolwon, 7th Pungweolju.

Her power was proved when she persuaded Jingol nobles to expel King Jinji from his throne. And her two sons (Hajong, Bojong) also became 11th, 16th Pungweolju respectively.

미실 / Lady Mishil (美室, 540년대 ~ 612년 이후)

미실(美室, 540년대 ~ 612년 이후)은 신라 시대의 권력자로, 필사본 《화랑세기》에 자주 등장하는 인물 중 하나이다. 대원신통(大元神統)의 계승자였다고 한다. 《삼국사기》, 《삼국유사》에는 등장하지 않는다.

필사본 《화랑세기》는 미실의 아버지가 제2대 풍월주 미진부(未珍夫)이며, 미진부의 아버지는 아시공이며, 아시공의 아버지는 선모이다라고 부계를 밝히고 있다.

미진부는 아시공과 삼엽공주 사이에서 태어났으며, 삼엽공주는 법흥왕과 그의 후궁 벽화부인(碧花夫人)의 딸이다. 벽화는 파로(波路)와 벽아부인(碧我)의 딸이며, 벽아가 섬신공과의 사이에서 낳은 아들이 바로 위화랑(魏花郞)이다. 위화랑은 초대 풍월주이자 소지마립간의 마복자로, 4대 풍월주 이화랑의 아버지이며, 오도(吾道)와의 사이에서는 옥진(玉珍)과 금진(金珍) 등의 딸을 낳았다.

미실의 어머니 묘도부인(妙道夫人)은 법흥왕의 후궁이며, 묘도부인의 어머니는 같은 법흥왕의 후궁인 옥진궁주(玉珍宮主)로서 위화랑과 오도부인의 장녀이다. 옥진이 7색조가 가슴으로 들어온 꿈을 꾸고 영실과 관계를 가졌으니 이 때 생긴 아이가 바로 묘도부인이다.

옥진은 영실과의 사이에서 묘도(妙道), 사도(思道), 흥도(興道)의 세 딸과 아들 노리부를 두었다. 그 중 사도(思道)는 진흥왕의 비(妃)이자 대원신통의 종(宗)으로서 진지왕의 어머니이며, 흥도는 기오공(起烏公)과의 사이에서 진지왕의 비이자 김용춘의 어머니인 지도부인을 낳았다. 또한, 옥진궁주는 법흥왕과의 사이에서 비대전군(比臺殿君)을 낳았는데, 비대는 미진부공의 친동생인 실보낭주(實宝娘主)와 맺어져 제 9대 풍월주 비보랑(秘宝郞)을 낳았다.

옥진의 어머니인 오도부인(吾道夫人)은 소지마립간의 정비인 선혜부인(善兮夫人)과 묘심랑(妙心郞)의 딸로서, 법흥왕의 비 보도부인(保道夫人, 소지마립간의 딸)과는 자매이고 흥도의 남편 기오공과는 남매지간이다.

필사본 《화랑세기》에서 미실의 외모를 묘사하기를, '용모가 절묘하여 풍만함은 옥진을 닮았고, 명랑함은 벽화를 닮았고, 아름다움은 오도를 닮았다(容皃絶妙豊厚似玉珍 亮明似碧花 美妙似吾道)'고 하였다.

Music portal site bugs.co.kr held a poll that asked which star would most likely to be fooled on April fools’ day, held from March 22nd to the 29th. A total of 3,117 participated in the poll. SNSD’s Sunny won by 32.15%.

Those that voted for 1st place Sunny claimed that she looked like she would be fooled easily. There have also been opinions saying that she is actually quite observant on the show ‘Invincible Youth.’

Second place was Nichkhun by 31.5%, a small margin. Participants picked him because they thought that he would not be able to completely understand the Korean spoken to him, thus, making him easier to fool.

Third place was 2AM’s maknae, Jinwoon. Jinwoon may be 2AM’s maknae but has outstanding vocal talent and producing experience, receiving much attention. Netizens have stated, “Jinwoon is amazing but he looks like he’d be easy to fool,” “Jinwoon laughs so innocently, he may be fooled like a child!”

Fourth place was Kara’s Kang Jiyoung, 5th place was f(x)’s Krystal, and 6th place was Beast’s Yoon Doojoon.
